Perhaps we should all hope there are no more cakes in the offing in the future.

It was quite degrading the first time - I believe the MDEC staff deserve a bit more than a token doughnut which I perceive as an insult to the intelligence of us all.

It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.

Why on earth are people complaining about cakes?? Better than nothing eh?
Personally I love free cake days. The pink iced buns are my favourite I find them tasty and delicious. They are pink. And delicious.
And if you get cake for free it doesn't have any calories at all in it. AT ALL.

its not the cakes we are complaing about, its the way they were used to try and persuade us to come into work and not strike, personally i think my job sercurity, pay and pension are more important than a cake

Even a delicious pink cake?

;)

No fair enough, it did seem very much like a 'thanks for not striking' gift, even though it was stressed that it wasn't like that. Probably would have been best avoided all together but that's hindsight I guess.
