It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

some time ago a Plymouth MDEC keyer started a Keyers website the keyer has since left the MDEC but it appears that around the time the keyer left the Website was purchased by a senior manager for an undisclosed amount so that it could be closed down.

Wonder why? could it have been because some (or most) of the posts were hitting a bit too close to home? Or then again perhaps there were other reasons

Are you revealing your true colours ? The only thing managers care about is their job and their bonus which is why they always bang on about stats.

what are you on evilc, my true colours
a reserve wgm only get a managers bonus is they do a certain amount of managing.
I agree most of the managers probably do only care about stats, maybe all your managers on nights are like this I can't comment on that shift but my shift I know a manager who does care about their keyers.

Those type of managers do not last long for if they truly cared then they would not be working in Royal Mails interests. I would say that a manager like that cares upto the point it starts to effect their management career unless they don't want to do it anymore. Not saying it makes them horrible people, just there is a natural conflict of interests.
