GPO Vehicle Rally at Amberley Museum & Archive

Post by POVC »

This coming Sunday we have our sixth Post Office Vehicle Gathering at the Amberley Museum and Archive.
The Museum is open from 10am - 5pm (last entry at 3.30pm). There will be a parade of the old vehicles at 2 pm.
Among the visiting preserved vehicles should be a pre-war Morris Minor hybrid, a Morris series Z, several post-war Morris Minors (red, green and yellow) and a Bedford HA mailvan newly restored in 1969 bilingual Welsh livery. Telegraph boys will recognise a number of BSA Bantam telegram bikes ranging from 1950 right through to 1971.

The Museum is situated in West Sussex on the B2139, mid-way between Arundel and Storrington, adjacent to Amberley Railway Station. Free coach and car parking is provided for Museum visitors.

Amberley Museum is on the Arun Valley Line, and is served by an hourly service from Victoria (depart 4 minutes past the hour) with a journey time of just under an hour and a half. (no engineering works affecting the service this Sunday)
