Pension paid to overseas bank account

Hi I took voluntary redundancy in 2015 and retired to be with my family in thailand,is there anyone in receipt of pension being paid to their bank account in another country as I have been informed it's no problem as Royal Mail pay it through bank of New York mellor into foreign accounts,it's just wanting to know if exchange rate is same as the MasterCard rate which is as much as you get,any comments appreciated
