Hello,
I have recently joined Royal Mail as a Postman. I thought the 24 hour contract would suit me as I am a carer.
I have found that I working over the 24 hrs every week. Can I be forced to work more than my contracted hours?
Many Thanks
Ray.

24 Hour Contract
No - this is what a contract is, an agreement by both parties for 24 hours of work per week.
Now, of course it could potentially hurt your chances of a more permanent contract the less flexible you are, sorry that it is that way but some managers always want extra. Maybe you can explain your situation to your manager and then they will likely not expect you to do the extra that often.
