When is contract posted out? I'm a new starter, January 15th

Post by clintboon »

Is it supposed to be posted out before my start date?

In the email i received on 18th December it says:

Your contract will include details of pay, annual leave entitlement and work location. (This will be posted out to you)

Accepting the detail of this offer: In order to confirm you accept the offer of employment from Royal Mail we need you to return the following documents (attached below) in the envelope provided with your contract:

1. A signed contract (one copy only, please retain the other copy for your information) which will be posted out to you.

2. Your completed P45 (or if you don’t have this from your previous employer, then please print and complete the attached P46).

3. A completed Expression of Wish Form (this form is to provide us with details in respect of payment for the lump sum death in service benefits).

Also attached is information which you should read prior to your starting date and which should be retained for future reference.

However, im still yet to receive anything in the post and im due to start next Monday. Should i have it by now?

Any help would be great.

Hi Clint, I had a phone call Thursday 3rd January offering me a position to start this Thursday 10th Jan, and I received my contract in the post on Saturday 5th. Hopefully you should receive yours in the next couple of days, if you hear nothing by Weds I would get in contact with them.
