I would just like to say we have a Tory Goverment.
A pretend light blue Tory one,but a Tory one nevertheless.
And what's the alternative?
The REAL Tories.
God help us all.

Although the government has shown it is firmly on the side of big business at least some of it's MP's are from working class areas so have to answer to their constituents when they vote to screw us.
However the Tory mp's have no such worries and will not apologise for trying to shaft us at every opportunity.

I wonder would proportional representation help with this problem. Although it does give an unfair bias to smaller parties it might bring more conscience into politics.

It might. But the argument against it is that no party would probably get
an overall majority and would have to do deals with smaller parties to be
able to form a goverment. This is generally what happens where there is
PR voting, and would give smaller parties more power than their actual
support should allow.

At the moment though all the power seems to be in Businesses hands and we need some way to redress the balance. With more smaller parties having power perhaps we would get a more social society rather than a profit, profit, profit and self, self , self.Seniorman wrote:It might.
