Ive come here to find out why my mail is sitting being ignored as "scab mail" and why I am being punished.... I dont know what going on, all I know is that I have hundreds of pounds worth of goods sitting not being delivered.
My postie up here is ace and the guy at my post office is ace but neither of them know about the reason behind this shambles but suggested this is a good site.
So I'm here to find out the why's and the resolutions since Im pretty sure Ive done nothing wrong. Obviously Im very angry but i want to know what direction my anger belongs in?
Thanks.
Fiona.

Hi
Hello and welcome to RMC work = pay
You are a customer i guess whos not very happy at the moment
I am sorry to hear your mail is still stuck in the system which is a shock to me as we called of our strike action over 2 weeks ago.I can only put it down to management refusal to pay postal staff overtime to clear backlogs as they see it as a reward to us for striking and would rather use casual or agency staff to clear it up which takes a lot longer. If you want to vent your anger at someone i would lay the finger of blame at Alan Leighton and Adam Crozier who at first refused to negotiate a business plan with our union which resulted in us having a national Ballot to protect the postal services in this country before those 2 destroyed it.
Have a good look around the site and you will im sure find the answers to most if not all your questions.

Thank you, Im trying to get my head around it because I run a business that relies on a good delivery system and Im being failed on a good few things at the moment. so I need to be able to explain to my angry customers why their mail is sitting ignored. I need to figure out the root cause of a sudden increase in damaged mail so i can figure out if I need to start using a courier so I can track deliveries and other time wasting things like that. I'm being told that your managers are all screwing with the work force which means things are not going to improve. The ebay forums are full of similar complaints and I think that Royal Mail has been damaged much more than can be appreciated right now, people are angry.
I personally dont know enough about it so Ive come here looking for answers so I can make up my own mind. I really want to use my local PO, Im all about keeping things local but if it's not a reasonable option then sadly I will take my 100 - 150 parcels a week to a courier because Im running a business.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

hi fiona and welcome to the site if you look around the site you will find the answers to your problems and your questions,to put it in a nutshell some genius decided we didnt do enough work and therefore there needed to be a lot less of us to do the job,and that we were overpaid and therfore needed to be paid lots less for doing more work, plus the same person decided to give away our rights to charge for the work we do leaving the company with no money and off course the answer to that was more cuts again impacting on you
after that they decided you no longer counted as a customer because you are not big enough and dont deserve the kind of service that many of the people on here prided themselves on providing to you and those like you,the knock on effect is if your item is posted to a customer at the end of a busy delivery and the postie does not want to work over then it is impossible to say when it will be delivered because many managers will not pay out overtime to get the job done, plus as has been mentioned we have agency staff who have no other interest in getting as many hours pay for as little work as possible
sorry thats the short version but look around the site for far more details
