Hi everybody!
Joined your website as you seem to have very few women (where are you all?) My husband is a postie currently dismissed (surprise, suprise he was the CWU rep., but that is co-incidental, if one believes anything said by RM management)! Suggest that you all make your voices heard by lobbying your MP's, reading and signing petitions on number 10 website and supporting the CWU,; as you all know there is far more at stake than a derisory pay offer, jobs are on the line......
keep fighting people,

WELCOME TO ROYAL MAIL CHAT
Hello and welcome Ceirys. Hope your hubby gets it sorted. Thank him for being a rep.
The other things you mentioned we do that big style on here some have even written to and emailed Gordon Brown, their own MPs and invited them onto the pickets. We are, it seems, the only Postie forum that seems to see the big picture and its not looking good if we don't win.

Hi,
Glad to hear it! I've got a petition going on the number 10 website asking the Labour Party to reaffirm its 'links with the Trades Unions. I have a photo of Gordon Brown on the Miner's picket lines and reminded him of those 'good old days'. Check out the website and please sign as well, the more signatures we get the more likely we are to get a response........ I am very proud of my husband for being a Trade Unionist, it takes courage to stand up and be counted. Sadly too many people see the Union as being a nebulous affair based in Wimbledon but the CWU is each and every one of you that is a member and you all have a voice and rights! I am disgusted at the lies RM are telling in the Press about the reasons for the strike but unsurprised!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
