Yes. Get rid of him. He's only going to discourage postal workers from contributing to debates.

No! Don't ban him - he isn't derogatory - just ignorant and arrogant.

He should be on one of those scab/manager sites. Or, perhaps he could start his own one. dickheadchat.co.uk would be a suitable name for it.

DV: I certainly respect your loyal and dedicated service (and I'm not taking the pee when I say that).

But things have changed like it or not. I think those people who want a job/career which is more fulfilling should join either a community group or charity but RM is now in the business of business. Blame Thatch/Blair/Brown/EU but don't blame managers as the rules have been set and I/we/you/us have to play by them... as you got 40+ service I assume that you must be over 50 (unless they had you working at 3yo!!), so do yourself a favour and take the cash/enhanced pension and go and do something which will give you less of a headache (with more enjoyment) and you can spend more time with your family/friends.

For those who think I would ever vote Tory: NEVER in a million years.

For info IWW in the 80's I ran with the SWP... (for those of you who think "Eh? Shaun Wright-Phillips??")... it's the Socialist Workers Party and the ANL (Anti-Nazi League) but then I grew up and had to get a job, because IWW, you can't live your life like a permanent student!!

bonehead_2002 how can you tell us its about the pay that is part of the offer but if you look through my posts you'll see that if Royal Mail withdrew all strings on this current offer and negotiated I would accept a pay freeze as I am fairly sure some others would on here. You may think its about pay but for us at the so called coal face its about many other things of which pay is a very small part.

You live yours as a permanent twat. I'll bet the SWP were happy to see you go. I don't really imagine a fascist like you would fit in too well with our Trot friends.

When this dispute is settled you' have to tell us all how a Socialist became a Capitalist as TBH I have gone in the other direction. I have become more left wing in my outlook from once being in the forces to working for Royal Mail.

Not for much longer. You've only got 16 years in, and I doubt you will see out sixteen weeks on this messageboard. Anyway, off you pop Billy.

A business must assess its assets and products and charge accordingly. You confuse the business driven incentives touted by Leighton and Crozier as being fact. The reality is different as perceived by those of us at the customer facing side of the business/service. The "business"/service we provide is set by law and legislation and the prices are not set by RM. Which other "business" can be fined for failing to reach targets set by an outside source like POSTCOM? Are TNT or DHL fined for failing to meet targets? Of course not.

You should really face the fact that this is not yet a business. The problem has been that it has tried to embrace business practices without being a business. There has been poor decision making for 7 or 8 years and consequently we are in the position we are. PIP - disaster! We should have taken the step of weight/size and distance pricing. SDD - good idea, the failing was by continuing a six day delivery and consequent staff increases and failing to get agreement on team working. Why was that? As a business it would have been plausible but as a company that is tied with legislation of universal service it just isn't feasible. Mailing services has been opened to competition but we cannot compete as a business.
