Further to LTB 887/07 (8th October 2007), over the last couple of days we have received numerous enquires from both representatives and members stating that POL managers in Tuesday's WTL session either denied or refrained from highlighting the conditional linkage of the latest pay offer to changes to members' pension scheme.
The current position is clear. POL has made a formal pay proposal that is totally dependant on our members accepting, as yet, unknown changes to their pension.
For the avoidance of doubt the following is an extract from POL's formal pay offer letter.
'Pension Changes:
We have discussed the pension changes, and I would like to restate our requirement that, as with other parts of the RMG, the CWU agrees to support the Company's position on the pension proposals which will soon be published to employees.'
Debbie Moore
P&OD Director (POL)
5th October 2007
In view of the apparent confusion, I have written to Debbie Moore asking her to clarify the situation. A copy of my letter is attached for your information.
This is serious situation and our members require all the facts. It is, therefore, essential that this LTB together, with my letter to POL are provided to our Crown Office members as matter of urgency.

POL Crown Office Pay Dispute - Pensions
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
