RM propaganda - they are adding those who didn't vote and non-union members to those voting No.
The percentage of people who voted no is actually less than 24%.

quite simple they add together posties who didnt vote, posties (shame on you a***holes) who voted against and posties( mainly part-timers and those on temporary contracts) who havent joined union.
but the perinent fact is that 75% voted for industrial action. an immense results
the best result in modern politics for decades
imagine if the government had a referendum on the EU and had a result like that
great turnout too

I think he meant those who chose not to vote.
Not those who didn't vote because they didn't receive a ballot paper for whatever reason.

I voted yes this time around but last time I didn't vote. I have an opinion this time but last time the vote didn't actually affect me much so I left it to those it did.

One of the arguments I got from people in our office was 'just work to your time'. Superficially that is a good argument, you are payed to do a job so do it but it does ignore many points.
I managed to persuade most to change their minds from 'no' to 'yes' based on the principal that if you aren't that bothered then vote yes for those that are.

So, if we have a general election where say 30% don't vote, we (using Royal Mail managers logic) immediately assume all 30% of non-voters voted for the losing party? What complete and utter nonsense.

Their stats are apalling at the best of times. more than 75% voted FOR strike action. Fact. Oh, sorry, a fact, a truth. Something RM management has no concept of.

RM management has been given the vote of no confidence. Fact. Time to leave Crozier, Higson and co. :cfo

I actually think he means the ones who voted NO!

Why?
Isn't the whole point of a Ballot, to give everyone the chance to express their opinion? :hmmmm
So long as everyone honours the outcome. Why does it matter how they voted? :hmmmm

If Royal mail really want to pay the numbers game by saying that only 40% voted for the strike out of the whole workforce why hasn't the Union come back with the stronger counter argument that 85% of Union members and therefore 56% of the total workforce did not vote in support of Royal Mails arguments.

Probably because they didn't think of that! Perhaps it'd be a good idea to put that statistic on the RMC Homepage. :hmmmm
