Hi folks, why can't we get on with our jobs, i.e. what they are now. Surpassing business objectives giving customers a good deal on products previously not available at a P.O. counter and saving the future of the business and future staff to come?

Might have got better responses here is you asked "How can we get on with our jobs......." start with a positive not a negative and you get positive replies.

Can we have honest answers as to what holds us back please.

This questions seems to expect dishonest answers.

This appears to belittle everyone who is not doing the job to your high standards, and is also very negative. My suggestion would be " is it lack of confidence, lack of training, preferring not to do a sales job, lack of management support (without the comment in parenthesis).

Lets all face it, CHANGE is a massive part for any industry these days although a thing almost everyone must go through to be successful.

Nothing wrong there I grant you.

What holds us back from embracing change and moving on within the business.
Yes I know its gone with the days of cashing benefits, and getting queues under 5mins to make our clients happy.

So why cant we stand on our own feet and grasp what we are now moving towards?

We are not paid to get involve with the Politics. Some people need to get back in their cubicle and stop reading into the big picture. I do not need any confidence or capability support with my job as I have enough of both to see me through.
If it was up to me to get in on the politics and running of the business I wouldn't be called a Postal Officer and I'd be on a substancial lot more than £18K

And you really think you are well paid - on £18K - do you?

And whether we like it or not we are involved with the Politics, it affects every aspect of our lives.
Politics is the reason we are facing franchising/privatisation.
