Just had a similar case in our office. Postie with over 20 years found with 13 bags of undelivered mail in his garage. None of it touched, RM let him resign.

In one office one result another something completely different!

The worker had only been employed by Royal Mail for a couple of weeks before his offences came to light
There we have it. Probably someone who was untrained, given a bag and told to go out and deliver. His manager probably doesn't care because the mail, even if he didn't deliver it was out of the office and that was all that mattered. He won't be the last either... with Summer seasonal staff on their way.

As Fireman Sam would say, "Some things should be left to the experts!"
