Residents in South Wirral may experience a delay in receiving their post today, after a delivery van got stuck in the mud this morning.
The traditional red Royal Mail van was spotted off the woodland dip that joins Dibbensdale Road to Poulton Road, by Dibbensdale Brook, inbetween Bromborough and Spital.
The van was attempting to head up a private gravel path off the winding road but had slipped off the side of the track and got stuck in the mud.
It is not clear how long the post van has been stuck their but another Royal Mail van had arrived at the scene and a breakdown service is also in attendence.
Although a postal worker was spotted still in the vehicle, it is not believed that anyone has been injured in the incident.
