Warwicks postman in terror ride

A postman delivering letters in a quiet country village was forced into the back of his van and abducted by two men.

He was tied up and driven around for half an hour before his captors - one of whom was wearing a mask with large floppy ears - freed him.

They then set the van on fire before fleeing. The 59-year-old victim was badly shaken but not injured.

Police are now appealing for witnesses following the incident in Wishaw, Warwicks.

The man wearing the mask is described as West Indian, aged about 30, 6ft 3in tall and of a "big" build. The second man was also of West Indian appearance, 6ft 2in tall, of medium build and aged 40-50. He had a moustache and long beard.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police confirmed: "A postman was forced into the back of his van by two men. The van was then driven around before being abandoned in a field. The postman was then freed and the vehicle was set on fire."

Hope bounces back from it, when i first read the headline i thought he was made to drive one of the sherpa vans that in itself is truly a terror ride
