POST workers in Whitchurch have been hit by tragedy after two friends were killed in a car crash.
Postmen Ralph Brown, 34, and Paul Murray, 21, were travelling together between Shawbury and High Ercall on Friday when their car smashed in to a tree near Walton.
Ralph, from Shawbury Road in Wem, and Paul, from Hanmer, died at the scene of the accident on the B5063.
Colleagues at Royal Mail described their deaths as “devastatingâ€

Two men dead after car hits tree
A later report but not as up to date as previous
TWO men were killed after their car smashed in to a tree on Friday.
The 34-year-old and 21-year-old, whose identities have not yet been revealed, crashed between Shawbury and High Ercall on the B5063.
The emergency services received numerous calls from other drivers, and headed to the scene at about 5.30pm.
A West Midlands Ambulance service spokesman said: “Two men had suffered serious injuries in the collision and despite the best efforts of ambulance staff nothing could be done to save them and they were confirmed dead at the scene.â€
