A drink-driver has been banned from driving for 46 months following a collision on Lache Lane in Chester that left a postman hospitalised.
Steven Davies, 46, of Mold Road in Caergwle, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Friday, November 23 in relation to a crash that took place on Friday, November 6.
The driver entered a guilty plea to charges of driving with excess alcohol and driving without due care and attention.
The collision resulted in a Chester postman being admitted to a critical care unit in Aintree Hospital in Liverpool after being airlifted by the air ambulance.
Davies was disqualified from driving for 46 months following the incident, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85.
He was also given a community order for 12 months, rehabilitation activity and ordered to complete 1,100 hours of unpaid work.
