Royal Mail Bank Holiday Click & Drop payment glitch

Royal Mail are reporting a Click & Drop payment glitch, specifically for customers attempting to make payments to purchase postage via PayPal.

The issue is specifically with the “Pay with Paypal” link in Firefox that will prevent Firefox users from processing their payment using this method.

There’s little doubt that online retailers will still want to get their orders out today and need to pay and print for their postage labels to achieve this. With a Bank Holiday weekend looming, it’s critical to get orders out as they will take an additional day to be delivered while the country takes Monday as a holiday anyway.

The glitch started this morning and was reported by Royal Mail at 11.51. Currently we have no indication of how long it will take to resolve the issue. Click & Drop underwent scheduled maintenance last night between 23:00 23/8/18 and 05:30 24/8/18 but there’s no suggestion that the Firefox PayPal issue is related to this recent maintenance updates.

Temporary Click & Drop payment glitch solution
In order to process payments it is suggested that users log in to Click & Drop using another browser, such as Chrome, until this issue is resolved.
