Two East Riding residents have been duped out of hundreds of pounds by a bogus postal worker.

Humberside Police have issued a warning about the doorstep scam after residents were told a postal charge needed to be paid by debit card.

The man dressed as a postal worker then claimed he needed a better signal for the card machine, but instead left with the card, withdrawing cash.

A 76-year-old women was targeted in Beverley last month, and a 71-year-old man in Willerby last Thursday.
