The postman who was hit by a car while on his rounds in Margate has been named by his family as Vince Marsh.
Mr Marsh, 59 and from Birchington, was airlifted to Kings Hospital in London after being struck by a car at around 10.40am on Saturday (January 6).
His family has shared a photo of his shocking injuries with his consent, adding that he had suffered a deep cut on his head "that went down to the skull", a fractured eye socket, four fractured ribs on one side, and a broken leg.

They added: "His knee popped out and he had to have an operation to put that back into place."
Mr Marsh has been a postman for almost 30 years, and is well known to the community and the people he delivers post to come rain or shine.
And his family are thankful to the emergency services that attended the scene of the crash.
His family said: "He told me to give chocolates to the paramedics and the nurses. The first thing he wanted me to do was to thank all them.
"He got lots of messages from people who he delivered to and he works with. The people that he delivered to are putting together a GoFundMe page for him.
"Our focus is on him getting better."
A Royal Mail spokesperson said: "The safety and wellbeing of our people is always our first priority.
"We are working with the police to understand what happened and will support our colleague in recovery."
A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following the crash.
Kent Police confirmed that she has since been released pending further enquiries.
