The man was hit by a car on College Road yesterday morning
The postman who was hit by a car on College Road in Margate yesterday is now recovering in hospital.
The man in his 50s was airlifted to hospital after being struck by a car at around 10.40am yesterday morning (January 6) and suffering "serious" injuries.
A helicopter from the Kent Surrey Sussex Air Ambulance, which landed in Dane Park, airlifted the man to a London hospital at around 12.55pm.
College Road was closed for several hours while the Kent Police serious collision investigation unit attended the scene and the vehicle involved was recovered.
The road was finally reopened at around 2.40pm.
