A house in Aylesbury was saved from serious fire damage after a postman noticed their smoke detectors sounding and smelled burning.
A pan had been left on a cooker while no-one was home, but thankfully after becoming suspicious the alert postal worker called Bucks Fire and Rescue which meant that there was only light smoke damage to the property on Allonby Way.
Two appliances and crews from Bucks Fire in Aylesbury attended.
Firefighters used a positive pressure ventilation fan.
