Royal Mail launches Property & Facilities Solutions entity

Royal Mail has launched the ‘Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions’ business entity.

In March last year, Royal Mail bought Engie’s shareholding in Romec Ltd. Since then, the Romec and Group Property business streams have been moving totwards integration as one team.

Now, they have been formally unified as a Royal Mail Group business entity in Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions – using a new common name.

According to a notice posted yesterday (22 February) on the myroyalmail.com website, Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions is responsible for one of the largest corporate real estates in Europe, with more than 2,600 sites.

Its service includes:

the provision of quality cleaning and engineering solutions
the management of external contracts such as gritting, waste disposal and window cleaning
the maintenance and upgrading of the estate
lease management
and purchase/sales activity.
Martin Gafsen, Group Director of Property & Facilities Solutions, commented: ‘I’m delighted to say that after years of being fragmented, all our estates and FM services for Royal Mail Group today come together under a new name and smart new logo.
