A VULNERABLE 58-year-old man has gone missing in Chard.
Ian Rowley, a postman, failed to turn up to work this morning and his car has since been found unoccupied in the South Chard area near to the railway crossing.
Ian is described as a white man, about 5ft 8inches tall, of slim build with grey hair.
He is thought to be wearing a high visibility jacket with blue and white stripes on it.
Ian may appear confused or depressed.
A major multi-agency search has been launched in a bid to track Mr Rowley down.
Police cars along with a helicopter, police dogs and mounted officers are currently searching for Ian.
Police officers from Dorset Police and Devon and Cornwall Police have also been drafted in to help with the search mission, as well as firefighters from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
