The Stroke Association delivers 15,000 blood pressure checks to Royal Mail employees

The Stroke Association has completed 15,000 blood pressure checks with Royal Mail employees. This is a significant milestone in our ongoing Charity of the Year partnership with the company.

Our Health and Wellbeing Coordinators have been visiting Royal Mail sites nationwide since February 2015, carrying out blood pressure checks and raising awareness of the link between high blood pressure and stroke. The work is part is part of our Know Your Blood Pressure campaign.

“Uncontrolled high blood pressure increases your risk of stroke by up to six times, but all too often, people with high blood pressure aren’t aware that they could be living with a ticking time bomb. A simple and painless test could prevent a devastating stroke. That’s why our blood pressure checks are so important. We are really grateful to our partner, Royal Mail, for making this initiative such a success.”
