AN INVESTIGATION is being carried out after the driver of a Royal Mail van crashed into a bollard on a pedestrian crossing.

Police were called to the incident (pictured) at the junction of Leeds Road and Victor Street, Thornbury, shortly after 2.15pm on August 19.

A Royal Mail spokesman said: "A Royal Mail van was involved in an accident in Thornbury, Bradford.

"Police attended and thankfully nobody was hurt but the van has been damaged.

"We will be investigating this incident fully."

Bradford Council was informed about the damage to the bollard.
