Maltby delivery office relocated to Rotherham

Royal Mail has confirmed it is to relocate Maltby delivery office operations into Rotherham delivery office from September 12.

Customers will be able to collect any undeliverable mail from Wickersley Post Office.

This move is part of Royal Mail’s ongoing transformation of its business to increase the efficiency of its operations and provide delivery offices that are fit for purpose for our staff and our customers.

There will be no expected impact on deliveries to customers and no job losses as a result of this move. A spokesman for Royal Mail said: “Royal Mail is responding to the huge growth in electronic communications and decline in letter volumes.

The postmen and women who work in Maltby delivery office will continue to serve the local community.”
