Meanwhile, a man has been told to attend alcohol counselling following an incident at Wishaw's Royal Mail depot.

A man, who admitted behaving in a threatening manner at Wishaw’s Royal Mail depot, has been ordered to attend alcohol treatment and counselling.

William Paton pleaded guilty earlier this year to shouting, swearing, acting in an aggressive manner and uttering threats of violence towards police officers at the depot in Canyon Road on September 15 last year.

As well as attending alcohol counselling, the 41-year-old, of Glen Tower, Motherwell, was put on a 15 month community payback order with supervision.
