Cannabis found inside package sent in the post at Rossendale Post Office depot

A package containing cannabis has been found at a Post Office depot in Rossendale.

Police were called to the delivery office on Kay Street in Rawtenstall at 10am on Tuesday, July 12 after a package which had been sent in the post was found to contain the drugs.


A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “Police attended and collected the package for disposal.”

Rossendale Police posted on Facebook: “An officer was called to the Post Office after a report of a suspicious package... Well you never see this on Postman Pat!”
