Highbury delivery office could be switched to Holloway

ROYAL Mail is in talks with the Communications Workers’ Union over plans to relocate its Highbury delivery office to Holloway.

Letters are in decline but because of the growth of online shopping the volume of parcels is increasing, and Highbury delivery office is no longer considered fit for purpose.

The potential new location, at Holloway delivery office in North Road, has space for the Highbury delivery operations. Royal Mail said there would be no impact on mail deliveries. Postal staff who work in the Highbury delivery office would continue to serve N5 postcode.
