JCB used to rip ATM from the wall of Coggeshall post office - suspects escape in Land Rover

A cash machine was ripped from the wall outside an Essex post office in the early hours of this morning by four masked men, police have said.

Four suspects, who had their faces covered, used a Land Rover to get away after officers were called to Market Hill at around 3.15am.

A police spokesman said: “We are launching an investigation into this incident.

“Witnesses described four people with covered faces removing a cash machine from a post office in Market Hill.

“They left in a Land Rover with the machine.”

The incident is the second to take place at a post office in the region within hours - Suffolk police officers were called to an earlier incident at Ballingdon Road post office in Sudbury to reports of a man threatening staff with a knife and demanding cash.

Investigations have been launched into both incidents, but officers are not linking them at present.

Anyone with information about either incident should call Essex or Suffolk Police on 101.

Also here in Yorkshire as well. A tractors forks ripped out the wall of a p.o. and took the machine away!
