A MAIL chief today said sorry for the plight of pensioners losing their local post office – but refused to back down.
Regional boss Tony Jones made the apology as he officially announced the news we revealed last week that a sixth of the post offices in South Wales are set to shut.
Asked if he had a message for the vulnerable people who will suffer as a result, Mr Jones said: “We’re extremely sorry but there’s nothing we can do – 31 post offices must close.â€
