Royal Mail workers raise £1100 for hospice charity

Workers at Gatwick Mail Centre and Brighton Delivery Office have managed to raise £1100 for the Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice.

The money was collected as a result of activities at the two centres last Friday.

The Arundel based hospice cares for around 300 children who are suffering with life shortening conditions.

“It’s my personal belief that kids shouldn’t have to suffer in the way they do. We felt the hospice was a really worthy thing to do a collection for,” said Barry Stevens, acting area distribution rep.

The cheque for £1100 will be presented to the Chestnut Tree Children’s Hospice in early January.
