A postman from Colwyn Bay has been given an eight-month suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to delaying mail.
Peter Lunn admitted two counts of delaying a total of 806 postal packets between August 2012 and March 2014.
Caernarfon Crown Court heard how the items consisted of unfranked marketing mail apart from one which was a handwritten letter.
A total of 56 of the postal packets were left in his car and 750 at his home in Lawson Road, Colwyn Bay.
Sentencing Judge Philip Harris-Jenkins said there was clearly a background in personal circumstances which led to his behaviour.
He also said it was a serious offence because it made the public less confident in the Royal Mail.
The judge ordered the postman to engage in a rehabilitation activity requirement, carry out 200 hours of unpaid work, and to pay a contribution of £500 towards prosecution costs.
