Father missing for 12 days after dropping son off at leisure centre

Peter Graham left his son at Leisuredrome Sports Centre in Bishopbriggs on the afternoon of Sunday October 4.

He has not been in contact with family since but his car was found near to Bishopbriggs train station on Thursday.

Officers are looking at CCTV footage and have released an image of Mr Graham in a BetFred bookmakers in Kirkintilloch at 5.15pm on the day he went missing.

Police say Mr Graham has now missed his son's 14th birthday and his family are extremely anxious to trace him.

Chief inspector Stephen Hazlett said: "We are continuing to carry out extensive enquiries in trying to locate Peter.

"The fact that he has missed his son’s 14th birthday is giving us cause for concern - he is very close to his son and has never missed a birthday.

"If anyone thinks they may have seen Peter or who may have any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts, please do contact us as soon as possible."

Mr Graham is a postman and works in the Possilpark and Springburn areas, he is also a keen hillwalker and fisherman and has often travelled to the Campsie and Carron Valley areas to enjoy these pursuits.

He is around 5ft 8in tall with a slim build, clean shaven with grey hair. When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a black zipper with white tassels, a dark green knitted turtle neck jumper, T-shirt and black boots or trainers. He may also be wearing or carrying a beige camouflage jacket.
