A SUSPECTED mugger was arrested after a postman was robbed during his daily round.
An investigation was launched into the incident, which took place at around noon in Paisley.
The 46-year-old man is alleged to have robbed the 26-year-old mailman in Argyle Street on Wednesday.
Officers yesterday revealed a man had been arrested.
He is alleged to have targeted the postman who was making deliveries in Paisley town centre.
It is not known what was alleged to have been taken during the incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to a report of an alleged robbery in Argyle Street, Paisley, at around 12pm on Wednesday June 17.
"A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged robbery."
A police inquiry was launched after the alleged robbery was reported to local officers.
The man is expected to appear in court at a later date.
