Royal Mail Update-Is It Just Me That Feels CWU Are Loosing Face And The Urgency To Announce Strike Dates If Nothing Else To Pressure The Think Tank At The Mo We Have 130000 People Wondering Why We Striked For Four Days To Compile A Back Log And Now ROYAL MAIL ARE BLEETING There Is A Backlog But We Are Making Good Progress In Clearing........What In The Hell Is Going On ????????

Suggestions On Postcard Because It Will Now Get Through....

A ROYAL MAIL STATE MENT OFF THE WEBSITE

We are pleased that the Communication Worker's Union (CWU) has called off the official strike action planned for this week, and that the unofficial strike action in the Liverpool (L) postcode area has also ended.

A draft agreement between Royal Mail and the CWU has been negotiated, and the CWU Executive is considering the terms.

We apologise for the disruption and inconvenience the strikes have caused our customers.

We are pleased to announce that we have reinstated the Special Delivery guarantee for all areas except for items posted into and from the Liverpool area (L postcodes), . We will reinstate the guarantee in Liverpool as soon as we are able to honour this. We will continue to keep you informed as and when the situation develops.

We are making good progress in getting our services back to normal as quickly as possible across the rest of the country, but there remains a build-up of mail that will take some time to clear. We continue to deal with this in the order in which we received it.

Royal Mail would like to thank its customers for their continued patience during this recovery period.

We will update this webpage with the latest information as and when it becomes available.

YET We have waited a week for absoulutly no info what is going on, yes I understand that negotions are best kept tight knit on a need to know but they have had a week to reel over the issues the deal cannot be a stunner if its taking so long to argue the toss.

I don't know what the backlog situation is - things we are posting now are arriving within a couple of days - post we sent on 4th Oct is still in the system, so they are almost certainly lying when they say that they are delivering post in the order it was received...

PEC have authorised 220 local strikes from next Saturday because of Royal Mail's attacks on our duties and the punishment charter against our reps. ImageImageImageImage

I Think you will find that R/M told the phg's to confirm delivery in all offices by 12:30 b4 later starts (a bit dodgy cause if one went missing and it had been confirmed as delivered someone could get in big trouble . I wanted it in writing but they would not give me it . EX union rep

(question) Today we asked what we were to do with undelivered special deliverys as on a Saturday the delivery office shuts at 12.30pm and the post offices will be shut at this time too. Now we start at 6am and all.
(answer) Shrugs, blank face, stares into space
I dont expect much, not even been put on the rota for next week :d'oh!
