A PARCEL packed with drugs has been seized by police at the Royal Mail Sorting Office in Great Sankey today, Friday.
Officers were called to the office after workers were alerted to a package which was emitting an unusual smell.
The parcel, which had been sent by special delivery, was found to contain a large amount of cannabis.
Officers have since issued a warning to drug dealers that Cheshire Police will continue to work closely with organisations across the town to make sure illegal items do not reach the streets of Warrington.
Officers say they are determined to crack down on the illicit trade but added that they are sorry to disappoint the supplier, who had upgraded the service to ensure special delivery was guaranteed.
