'Union' wants lower wages for postmen

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

GNBZ, a new German union of postal workers, wants wages below the minimum wage the Bundesrat has just passed. According to the organisation, the minimum wage would endanger private mail services - a position also held by the employers’ organisation.
According to GNBZ, the large services union Ver.di does not adequately represent employees of private mail services, thus endangering the jobs of 50,000 people.
Experts doubt whether GNBZ is a real union. According to German law, a union must have a certain power to achieve goals. A GNBZ spokesperson declined to comment on the organisation’s membership and financial position.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

The Governors said that jobs would be lost and the economy would suffer when they abolished the chimney sweep.
