Efford post box damaged after being struck by car, say police

A POST BOX has been damaged after it was struck by a car being driven by an elderly woman.
Police are currently at the scene of the incident at the junction of Blandford Road, and Torridge Way in Efford which is understood to have seen a collision between a Hyundai Getz and a Honda HRV at around 3.40pm today.
The Hyundai, driven by a 78-year-old woman, then went on to strike a post box, knocking it at an angle.
Police are still at the scene and are awaiting a clean up crew to remove a quantity of glass from the road and a Royal Mail engineer to assess the damage to the post box.
