Royal Mail Dispute

Further negotiations took place last week between the CWU and Royal Mail’s Chief Executive Adam Crozier. Following those negotiations proposed terms to settle the dispute were presented to the Postal Executive over the last two days.

The TUC General Secretary Brendan Barber has now invited both parties for a further meeting so that the CWU can clarify the remaining outstanding issues. In light of these developments it was also agreed to suspend the current round of industrial action.

This meeting has been scheduled to take place tomorrow (Thursday).

Alot of people getting very fed up with the lack of communication coming back off the PEC talks with regard to a deal or no deal or as it is to vote or not to vote. I agree in part that they have a very tough call to make however the offer has been on the table since last Friday meanwhile home on the ranch people are getiing fed up that they have taken (IA) for four days, only now to find that RM have almost cleared up the last lot of back logged mail. Surely the deal on the table is a possible or absoulutly awful, have another round of strikes been listed just to tweek the pressure. Somebody needs to get a grip its getting alot of peoples backs up. I beleive in the union and all though my patients are being tested I know we should remain sure & stedfast however those that are struggling will drift to the dark side some just completely bamboozled by the union they trust because they cannot understand why this is taking so long. Mr Late-in and MR Crazy-ier must be laughing all over there chops.
