Posties ready for wolf run

The team of Rory Maciver, Calvin Findlay, Pete Fearnley, Dean Travers and Mark Stuchbury will race through rough terrain and freezing lakes at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire on November 2.

The group have been training hard for the event at Grimsbury Reservoir, and have set themselves a target of between £2,000 and £3,000 for the charity, based at St Mary’s School in Southam Road.

Mr Maciver said: “We wanted to do something worthwhile. When we were deciding on which charity we would do it for we wanted to choose something obscure. When we visited the Let’s Play Project and they told us what they did we were amazed.”

The wolf run will see hundreds of competitors tackle rugged terrain and obstacles such as tyre runs and climbing frames.

The group will set off on the day at 10.50am.

Mr Maciver added: “We will be working together as a team to get through the course. A few of the guys are a bit anxious about it but we are being really positive and looking forward it.”
