Not many people can call themselves “the leading authority on British letter boxes,” but the Letter Box Study Group really can.

Either way, in what must have been the LBSG’s most exciting report for the past decade, it’s given “qualified approval” of Royal Mail’s decision to let posties take mail from letter boxes.

“There are letter boxes all over the UK that have been in daily use for as long as 150 years,” said the LBSG.
