A LORRY from North Devon firm Evans Transport has been involved in a serious collision on the M5, it has been confirmed.

The vehicle was heading from Stoke-on-Trent to the company’s Bideford depot when it was involved in a crash with a Royal Mail lorry shortly before 3am today.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were all called to the scene, between junctions 24 and 25 near Bridgewater, where the Evans truck had overturned - blocking all three lanes.
In a press release from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue, a spokesman said: "This incident was caused by one artic lorry breaking down on the southbound carriageway hardshoulder, which was then hit by a second artic lorry, which then turned onto its side."
The driver of the overturned lorry had to be freed from the vehicle by firefighters using hydraulic cutting gear.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Trust said he had suffered a fracture to his leg and was drifting in and out of consciousness. He has been taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton for further treatment.
The driver of the Royal Mail lorry was taken to Weston General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The southbound carriageway on the M5 has been closed between junction 24 at Bridgwater and junction 25 at Taunton to enable the emergency services to deal with the incident. It is expected to remain closed until this afternoon.
There is a build-up of traffic and police are asking drivers to avoid the area where possible.
There are diversions in place from junction 24.
