Hero postman helps collapsed customer

Chad Brown, a postman at Wolverhampton delivery office, came to the rescue of one of his elderly customers while out on delivery, after finding he’d collapsed over his garden fence.The family of Ron Arnold, 80, have expressed their gratitude to Chad for helping the pensioner who had recently suffered a stroke.

Chad also contacted Ron’s neighbour, Gerard Small, to let him know what had happened.

Gerard says: ‘Without Chad’s assistance, the consequences could have been dire. Ron is a little unsteady on his feet after the stroke.

‘When Chad found Ron he helped him up and made sure he was OK. The fall was severe enough to practically demolish the wooden fence.

‘Having made sure he was safe in his home, Chad enquired with neighbours regarding getting assistance and then contacted me.

‘His swift actions made all the difference in this case.’
