Wells trio complete 650 mile challenge in just six days

A TRIO of cyclists have completed a 650-mile cycle challenge.

So far they have raised roughly £1,760 which Royal Mail has pledged to double to £3,520.

Wells postman Stephen Glascott, former Wells postman Neil Pritchard and Darren Phillips, a Royal Mail manager, took on the challenge in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

At the end of May, the three cyclists cycled 650 miles across France.

The route took them from Le Touquet on the North Coast of France to Fos Sur Mer just outside Marseille on the South Coast of France on the Mediterranean Sea.

The aim was to complete the ride in seven days.

However, all three pushed themselves to the limit and completed it a day early in just six days.

The cyclists said: “We would also like to thank Myra Derrick and Malcolm Phillips who were the amazing support team who without, they never would have made it.
