If you were wondering why your post was a little late this morning, it might be down to this unfortunate incident involving a Royal Mail van, which was snapped by Twitter user @MeeshyMd.

But don't worry, we got in touch with the Royal Mail to double check the driver was ok and they sent us this in response.

"Royal Mail can confirm that an incident involving a Royal Mail vehicle took place on the South Deeside Road on Wednesday 30 April.

We are carrying out an urgent internal investigation into the circumstances and we are thankful that no one was injured as a result of this accident."
