SICK paedophiles are getting thrills behind bars by smuggling in images of children using personalised Royal Mail stamps.
They are getting perverts on the outside to post letters to them using Smilers stamps with customised pictures of kids.
The men have used the loophole to get around strict rules.
The Prison Service does not allow sex offenders, especially convicted paedophiles, to receive any photos of children.
But bosses in the High Security Intelligence Unit alerted governors to the risk from the Royal Mail scheme.
“Sex offenders spotted a loophole in security. They are getting associates on the outside to customise stamps and using them to send innocent letters”

The unit has uncovered “numerous” instances of sex offenders receiving Smilers with pictures of young children.
A source said: “Sex offenders spotted a loophole in security.
“They are getting associates on the outside to customise stamps and using them to send innocent letters.
“These have been getting past security and paedophiles have been using the images for gratification.”
A security warning seen by the Daily Star Sunday revealed the scale of the problem.
It states: “High Security Intelligence Unit has advised us of a Royal Mail service which has recently come to its attention.
“The service is called Smilers and it allows members of the public to purchase customised postage stamps using submitted personal photographs and designs.
“The unit reports that a prison within the High Security Estate has detected instances of incoming correspondence to prisoners subject to safeguarding children measures sporting Smilers with customised photographs of children.
“Concerns exist that the use of Smilers on correspondence sent to this particular prisoner group could succeed in allowing individuals to obtain images they are not authorised to have.”
Smilers users upload their own photos for use on personalised stamps intended to mark special events, birthdays and anniversaries.
Glyn Travis of the Prison Officers’ Association said: “Some inmates, especially sex offenders, will try anything to get material that feeds their fantasies.” Child sexual abuse expert Derek Green said perverts were using the stamps as “erotica”.

"The Prison Service does not allow sex offenders, especially convicted paedophiles, to receive any photos of children" and so presumably they won't be getting this edition of the Daily Star.
