So Gordon Brown wants us (the postal workers) to accept the "deal" on offer and call of the strikes. So a labour Prime Minister wants us to accept a deal which would mean-
we wouldnt know our hours or place of work on a a day to day basis
Managers would decide who works on any given day, Royal Mail call this total flexibility
Royal Mails pension fund would be totally changed ie. work 5 years longer, move from a final salary scheme to a career average related earnings scheme, this would cost postal staff thousands of pounds each (as reported by Clinton Manning in the Mirror) The pension fund would be decimated just to save Royal Mail money.
I think Gordon Brown has spent to long with thatcher, perhaps the purpose of her visit was for Brown to get tips on how to smash the unions. Gordon Brown is a disgrace to the labour movement.
Call an election Gordon you wont get my vote and i suspect many of my colleagues share my view

EMAIL BROWN and your local MP
Below is contact details for all MPs - email local MPs and explain the dispute and ask for their support in making RM conduct meaningful negotiations.
As to Brown - I will be telling him that unless he reverses his position then I will never vote Labour again and that I will work within the CWU to stop the political levy going to any MP other than those who support us and having seen Thatcher Brown in action at PM Question Time I really don't give a sh*t what party an MP is in as long as he/she supports us or puts pressure on RM.
